Tufts Libraries OpenAthens Support Guide

Accessing Library Resources

Overview

The implementation of OpenAthens has introduced changes to how certain resources are used. Below are sections detailing what you need to know to make the most of these resources.

Google Scholar

Set up Google Scholar to show you Find it links from Tufts. This will allow you find the full-text of articles and other items directly from Tufts. Do the following:

  1. Go to Google Scholar
  2. Click on the three dashes on the upper left-hand side to see the menu. Click Settings.
  3. In the menu, click Library links and in the search box, enter Tufts University and click Search.
  4. Select Tufts University – Get This Item at Tufts by clicking the checkbox on the left.
  5. Click the Save button at the bottom.

You should now see 'Get this Item at Tufts' links on the right-hand side. If we license the full-text, you'll be taken directly to the item to log in. If we don't have full-text, you'll be brought to JumboSearch where you'll have the option to request the item through ILLiad, our interlibrary loan system.

PubMed

Coming soon... In the meantime, please reach out to the librarians at Hirsh Library if you need help acccessing full-text through PubMed.
